Seventy + Mochi
Founded by Haya Iqbal Ahmed and based in London:
Haya's comes from a family with a deep-rooted heritage in the textile industry. Her grandparents began textile trading in 1949 from a small store—shop no. 70 on Mochi Lane, situated in the bustling bazaars of Karachi, Pakistan. The brand derives its name as a tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to ethical business fostered in that location.
Having witnessed the workings of the textile manufacturing industry throughout her upbringing, and with her family's business shifting towards sustainably made denims, she was determined to carry forward the legacy. The goal was to create something consciously kind in all aspects of the product and practice. This led to the foundation of Seventy + Mochi, grounded in principles of consciousness, kindness, collaboration, and accessibility.
